[/blockquote][/blockquote]Dirt shifted, while clumps of mud and sticks fell away, causing a slight crash in the forest, yet the only ones to hear the sound where the prey of the forest and the trees. Twin, delicate, ivory paws seemed to be growing themselves from the dirt forest floor and within a few moments, an ivory muzzle followed, gasping for breath.
"Who's bright idea was it to take shelter under the fallen tree in the middle of a storm!?" the she-wolf yelped as she wiggled her thin body from the opening she had opened up. Standing, paws splayed out, legs shaking from the effort to dig herself out of her tomb, the ivory and creamy red wolf held her head down, muzzle slightly parted, tongue working to get the little bit of dirt that had slipped in and was trying to form mud on her salmon tongue.
Sitting back on her haunches, the creamy red and ivory she-wolf lifted her muzzle to the tree tops. A soft breeze blew through the trees ruffling her pelt and stirring up the dirt she had just moved to make a hole. Behind her, there was a loud growl, low and harsh, as if something was left within the tomb she had just crawled from, wanting out. "Oh alright!! I wasn't going to leave you in there, you big whelp!" the she-wolf growled playfully, turning and starting to dig.

[/blockquote][/blockquote]Red rimmed, yellow orbs glared out at the brightness that was the sun. The owner of the yellow orbs was more a night wolf, and would have been more happy sleeping through the day and moving at night, but he'd be d**ned his partner in crime was day wolf, like her mother. He growled yet again, this time much louder to get her attention, as she gazed out into the new day.
"Whenever you feel the time is right, would you mind digging this hole BIGGER!" he growled, ebony nose twitching through the hole that the she-wolf before him had made. He could have gotten his entire head through, but he didn't feel like trying to fight to get his head back out.
He watched through the hole as the she-wolf turned and started to dig, making the hole bigger and bigger with every swipe of her claws. This is my daughter, he thought to himself, knowing that he could never give this she-wolf like he had her mother. Death had taken her mother, but still, he felt that if he had just fought a little harder, the creamy red she-wolf's mother would have been there, possibly standing beside her daughter, or beside him within the hole.
"Hurry up, whelp!" he growled, a satisfied smirk crossing his muzzle as she sped up her digging. Finally! the black brute howled to himself, as he shifted through the hole the she-wolf had made. Once above ground, he shook his body, sending showers of dirt in all directions. "Do you think you took your sweet time?" he questioned, teasing the she-wolf in his own way. He watched as she simply turned her back on him and started into the forest. He followed, just to make sure she didn't hurt herself.
